Arizona’s
mule deer, primarily those taken in the northern part of the state, are
large strong animals. Typically those deer taken in the pre rut and the rut
are in the best of physical condition. Wall pedestal and floor pedestals are
very popular presentations for these magnificent deer. See our pedestals
created exclusively for Pioneer Taxidermy by wood artist Warren Euckert.

At Pioneer Taxidermy the artists go to
great lengths to reproduce the natural hues of the ear interior. Most
production taxidermists spray the ear either flesh or brown and call it
good. |
 |
The mule deer as with most animals can
move his ears independently of one another. At Pioneer Taxidermy we pose the
ears in a manner depicting the attitude you desire. In doing so, we
accurately sculpt in the appropriate muscle structure. It makes a big
difference!

 |
You won’t see this in production
taxidermy mounts. The majority of manikins available to us fail to provide
the added dimension of the upper shoulder and spinal column definition. At
Pioneer Taxidermy we take the time to sculpt this feature in, after all the
animal did have it when it was alive. |
At Pioneer
Taxidermy we strive to achieve perfection, the result is excellence. Take a good
look at your trophies, if they don’t have all these features, ask your
taxidermist why not.
