Skinning your trophy for mounting

Animal skins are perishable goods and must be treated as such. Pioneer Taxidermy cannot be responsible for the care of skins and horns before they reach us. Climate, moisture, and field care are variables that must be taken seriously to ensure good mountable specimens. We encourage you to know and understand these factors to aid us in creating a quality mount for you.

The following information will assist you in properly caring for your trophy in the field, as always we are available to you for prehunt advice. We are willing to do whatever we can to ensue that your trophy receives the best of care.

The first step to a beautiful mount is proper field care. If you lack the knowledge or the skill to properly cape your trophy for mounting, please call us for assistance. We are committed to helping you get the highest quality mount possible.
